Interactive Installations are a defining part of my artistic practice, as the creation of them melds all of my abilities with art, technical integration, and user-experience design.
"Goop" is an iterative project presented at the Open Air Media Festival in June 2023
My Public Digital Arts certificate capstone, "Goop", was a four-walled, interactive projection. To make this project interactive with users' location, I utilized a Kinect depth camera feed to track visitors, opening up organic, localized windows in the foreground texture to expose a surreal, drawn landscape with a sky and mountains generated in Unreal Engine.
This installation used a Kinect sensor's depth tracking data with Isadora to allow users to simulate planting trees and cleaning up the ocean via hand gestures.
GUI and interactivity made with Isadora, graphics made with Illustrator.
This was an interactive installation that encouraged the audience to project current or desired mental states in a shared space, and to be conscious of others' experiences.
Max MSP was used for its motion tracking abilities and to create a GUI.
This was an interactive installation that allowed users to draw on the GUI mid-air.
Using Pandora's Box and Widget Designer, I created a VJ rig to live pair visuals with musical cues.
